A 19th century Victorian mahogany artist or paint box by Winsor & Newton. The box has a hinged lid with an ebony edge and has the company logo covering the inside of the lid in gold lettering 'Winsor & Newton, Rathbone Place, London'. The interior has a lift out tray that holds 24 paint blocks, a glass water bowl a ceramic Winsor & Newton paint tray and storage areas under both trays. The lower part of the box has a slim drawer with a brass locking pin and military style plate handles. The drawer holds a ceramic Winsor & Newton paint palette, the box is in good condition but looks used inside.
