William IV Mahogany Toilet Swing Mirror on Cushion Base & Bun Feet

A fine William IV or slightly earlier piece, generally in very good, restored condition but with the original glass, having cross-banded frame on tall turned, reeded & chip-carved supports, with the pivot adjusted by ebonised knobs, raised on a cushion base with highly-figured veneer, dentil-moulded edges to front & sides and with two drawers, having cylindrical fronts, all supported on ebonised bun feet, this exceptional swing mirror will impress in the most elegant of gentleman's rooms, fully-deserving of the admiring attention it will undoubtedly attract.

    Width 51.5cm x Depth 27cm (20.25" x 10.75") & O/All Size of Mirror Frame 38.5cm x 51cm (15.25" x 20")
    O/All Height 76cm (30") & Height to Top of Base 13.25cm (5.25")

This is an antique piece from around 1830-37 or slightly earlier, so you may expect the mature character & patina that only develops with considerable age; the glass is probably original and is unsurprisingly fogged* (see pictures) but, otherwise, it's in very good, clean & sound restored condition, ready to use in your home.

*It could be replaced with modern mirrored glass at a cost of around £40
