William IV mahogany sabre leg set of 6 dining chairs, Circa 1835. This set of dining chairs feature a carved top rail, carved pierced slat, shaped uprights, over drop seats finished in green draylon type fabric, all raised on sabre legs.
Dimensions: These chairs measure approximately 84 cm tall, 49 cm wide, and 49.5 cm deep. The seat height is approximately 46.5 cm high.
Condition: These chairs are in fair to reasonable condition commensurate with their age, and are structurally reasonable and fairly sturdy. There are some blemish marks, bruises and signs of wear on the frames. The upholstery and covers are in fair condition, with marks and wear. The top rail of one chair has a repaired split, see pictures. There is some play in some of the joints. Though the chairs are serviceable as they are they would benefit from having some of the joints reglued, and from being re-upholstered.
