Original signed engraving of Winston Churchill by the 20th Century artist, Vera Down (1888-?). She was an English painter and engraver (etcher), studied in Paris and exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of Graphic Arts and at the Salon of Artists – there are examples of her work shown on the internet if you do a search for her name. This was published by New World Galleries Ltd. 1941 and is printed on hand-made, water-marked deckle edged paper. It is signed by Vera Down. Would look very impressive if framed. Dimensions are 11.5 inches x 8 inches (lithograph) and 15 inches x 20 inches with the mount. Also selling an engraving of FDR Roosevelt by the same artist.
