This full sovereign is a typical example of the sovereigns that are seen today. This one dates from 1887, and appears to be in good order. The front depicts an image of St George fighting the Dragon. This appears to be reasonably crisp and little wear is noted. However it is difficult to see the stamp marks that are often noted when buying these items.

The reverse features an image of Queen Victoria, looking to the left of the coin. The sovereign is loosely mounted in a later addition surround. The clasp is in good working order, and is hallmarked for 9c Gold.
