Antique quality Victorian C1870 inlaid and crossbanded burr walnut davenport, writing table or desk.

This is a lovely quality davenport, that is full of age, charm and character. Solid and heavy, with no loose joints.Fantastic styling, with attractive matched veneers.4 active drawers (mahogany lined and slide freely) on the RHS (as viewed from the front). 4 dummy drawers on the LHS.Old patinated tooled leather writing surface (later replacement) with wear and patina. Period brass and ceramic castors (some wear as one would expect). Great bird's eye maple veneered interior.Lovely patina and colour, would look amazing in the right location!Overall maximum dimensions: 54cmW x 52cmD x 83cmH x 70<76H writing surface.Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture.
