A very interesting and VERY RARE vintage pocket watch with pictured enamel dial, of a very fine PICTURE OF ADMIRAL LORD NELSON OF BATTLE OF TRAFALGAR.
It has a Verge Fusee movement.
Very fine hands.
GLASS: The glass is a domed bull nose and clear.
MOVEMENT: The fire gilt look just like the day it left the workshop and has a slight issue, in that the pinion has detached, and the hands rotate upon winding. I have the pinion, so it will need to be repaired by the new owner or just left as it is.
It has a very decorated and engraved balance cock, and regulator.
Signed on the back plate FAWCETT LONDON. The watch will come with a winding key.
Silver hallmarks for London:
Leopard head crowned
H Letter for 1803 (worn and visible)
This pocket watch is in a used condition for something of its age, but overall excellent, and extremely rare!
If you are a collector of Lord Nelson memorabilia, that is original from that time period this is a must.
