A scarce First Edition copy of "The Illustrated Guide to Worcester Porcelain" by Henry Sandon, the flyleaf with dedication signed by the author, "With kindest regards Henry Sandon", published by Herbert Jenkins of London in 1969. A landmark publication, issued following upon the then recent archaeological excavations, carried out under the direction of the author, at the site of the original pottery. It is fair to say that the evidence presented, and the revolutionary opinions expressed in this volume led to a complete re-appraisal of the early output of the Worcester works, particularly in relation to that of the earlier Bristol facility. Erudite academic text accompanied by a fine selection of black and white images together with some beautiful full colour plates, all illustrating items in the possession of the Dyson Perrins Museum at the Royal Worcester works, of which the author was Curator from 1966 to 1982. Hard covers, untidy dust jacket, 96 pages plus 150 illustrations.
