the antique georgian 1782 mourning marquise ring

A marquise-shaped head contains a woven design of real human hair, which is set behind a piece of crystal which joins onto a thin black enamel band with gold inlaid wording which reads ‘Wn Kemm, ob 1 Oct 1782 AE 29’.
This ring, circa 1782, tests as 18ct. There are some light scratches to the surface of the glass and parts of the enamel have worn away in places, and the band is no longer a perfect circle. The ring, however, is in good wearable condition, with just usual wear commensurate with age.
