This is an ORIGINAL COLONIAL PERIOD RELIGIOUS SCULPTURE , AN ORIGINAL ALTARPIECE COMMING FROM A XIX C. CHURCH . It is a beautiful scene where Christ is talking to some faithful people . The chracters are carved with perfection , every detail was respected , the faces , gestures , all the details are inctredible real . The frame is also a fantastic detail : completely carved simulating the entrance of a Christian temple .
Tha piece is carved from solid wood . It is very big : 57 inches hight x 32 inches width x 4 1/2 inches depth .

The condition is excellent! except the hand of Christ that evidently was broken and someone restored it probably with some kind of artistic cold ceramic. The rest of the piece is in perfect condition and 100% ORIGINAL , the colors are the original of the piece .
This is a perfect sample of a piece of art from the South American Colonian Art period .
