Circa 1800, good set of 8 late George III mahogany chairs in the Hepplewhite style. The shield back has an open fretwork splat with shaped, reeded uprights. Each of the chairs has a large stuffover seat. The front legs are square, tapering and reeded and the back legs are outswept. These are united by an H cross stretcher. The armchairs are similar with a stylised curved arm.
