Circa 1820, set of 8 Scottish mahogany George IV dining chairs, comprising 7 singles and 1 armchair, with their shaped curved top, central carved splat with ribbed uprights on both sides which continues down and runs beside the seat. There is a drop in pad and below the seat is a small shaped apron. There are elegantly turned legs to the front and swept back legs. The armchair is a similar design with ribbed arms that form a shepherds crook with a curved supporting upright. Excellent colour and good condition.
