Circa 1870, Scottish Victorian mahogany three door cabinet bookcase, with a stylish rounded cornice with various mouldings, over a flame mahogany section on the upright. Below this are three glazed doors, the centre door with a stylish foliate carving on the top. Inside are four adjustable shelves in each section with mahogany veneered facings. The flat section has an ogee moulded edge, and below this are three drawers which incorporate into the front of the bookcase. The drawers on the left and right are rounded and continue to form the sides of the bookcase, with a beading beneath. On the base there are three further panelled doors with raised arches, and again the arch in the centre is a foliate carving similar to that on the top. On the right, the two doors open to reveal a single, elongated shelf; and on the left, a single shelf. All stands on a flame mahogany plinth base with a canted corner on the front. The bookcase is in excellent condition, good colour.
