Regency or Early Victorian Pierced Brass Fireplace Fender

A fine late Regency period or early Victorian brass fender in very good condition for its age, with steel bar to the top and thumb-moulded bottom edge, both encased in brass, with pressed mouldings together with a pierced & scribed decorative central panel with vine-leaf and grape bunch motifs, over stylised paw feet and a profiled steel plate hearth tray to the rear, this lovely fireplace fitting will delight in the most elegantly-appointed of homes, whether period-furnished or more contemporary in style, fully-deserving of the flattering attention it will surely attract.

    O/All Width 102.75cm x Depth 33.5cm, including the Feet (40.5" x 13.25")
    O/All Height 21cm (8.25")

This piece is from around 1830-50, so you may expect the mature character & patina of age plus wear & tear commensurate with normal use, including rubbing of the brass casing to the top & bottom edges but, otherwise, it's in very good, clean & sound condition and ready to use in your home.
