Circa 1815, good Regency mahogany fold over card table. The D shaped top has a wonderful selected flame mahogany centre and crossbanded edge. The top is hinged and inside is a green baize lining. Beneath the top is an apron with a raised flame mahogany panel in the centre. There is a fine beading which runs around the sides. The column is almost square, with the beading repeated again at the base, and sits on a raised concave platform on four elegant sabre legs. The top of legs have a relief section with a carved leaf, and a fluted and reeded section with tapers towards the toe. There are four cast brass hairy paw feet and brass castors. Neat size, very stylish (probably Scottish).

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
