On offer here is a fine and rare Victorian sterling silver sugar sifter in the hard to find but popular Onslow pattern, with hooked stem, hallmarked for Henry Holland, London 1865. Holland eventually swallowed up Elizabeth Eaton, Chawner and Co. and George Adams to become Holland, Aldwinkle and Slater. Measuring 16 cms (6 inches) in length and weighing 39g, this sifter presents in lovely condition, commensurate with age; no dents, splits or repairs. A stylish, yet functional piece of Victorian antique silver that can still be used and enjoyed to-day.
