Smart, very high quality earclips made in the 1950s. Each is centred by a cut-corner ruby of fine colour and clarity, and the surrounds are set with brilliant- and marquise-cut diamonds, in platinum, with white gold clip fittings. I estimate the two rubies at a total of 1 carat, and the diamonds at approximately 3 carats. The earclips are approximately 3/4 x 5/8 inches: 18 x 15 mm. The earrings are light in weight, and sit nicely flat on the ear. It would be simple to add a post for pierced ears, whilst retaining the clip fittings which position the earclips in place.
