Rolex 'Princees' ladies wrist watch, in 9ct white gold, English hall-marked on import in 1931 . The watch has a high quality manual-wind movement timed in 6 positions. Watches tend to run faster or slower depending on which way up they are; so this one has been tested originally for time-keeping face up, face down, on each side, and each end, in all of which it should have kept good time. This was a lengthy procedure only used for top-quality movements. The dial has its original quartered finish, and the case has a band of engraved decoration. Grosgrain strap with sliding buckle.
