Rare British Victorian 1827 Pattern colonial police officer's sword. This sword was manufactured by Wilkinson Sword in 1871 and is currently unresearched so could turn up some interesting information on the original owner. Labuan is situated in current-day Malaysia and became part of the British Empire in 1846. It was known then as part of Sarawak and it's first Governor was Rajah James Brooke. Sword is in fine condition, with crisp etching to the blade. Complete with original scabard. There would not have been many colonial police officers at this location so this is quite rare. Blade length is 3 inches (38 inches overall).
