    rare and large british c.1830 georgian naval officer’s fighting sword - retailed by harvey withers

    Great example of a British late-Georgian 1827 Pattern Naval Officer's Sword. With wide and substantial pipe back and quill point fighting blade. Traces of original etching to blade. Finely detailed brass hilt and all fishskin and twistwire remaining to grip. Complete with original scabbard, engraved to locket with name of ___ de la Cour Chatham. This is a large example of a rarely found sword. Blade length is 32 inches (38 inches overall).
