Circa 1770. A quality pair of inlaid mahogany Hepplewhite armchairs. The curved and inlaid top rail, over three uprights which are pierced, carved, inlaid and flared at the top in the form of a fan. The large stuff-over seat recently re-upholstered, shaped inlaid arms which continue down to meet the legs. Back legs squared and slightly swept, front legs inlaid with Prince Wales Plume with tapering bells drops below, all united by conforming stretchers.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981.
