A rare pair of early 19th Century toleware chestnut urns, decorated with flowers, birds and butterfly’s in lovely colours , standing on oval bases and with scrolling arms, the lids topped with brass finials. Hot chestnut urns were popular in the late 18th Century and early 19th Century and were usually made in a Neo–Classical style. Circa 1820.
