Circa 1880, pair of Victorian marble and ormolu mounted urns. The stylish collar with foliate casting has 2 elongated cast handles with gilding on the side. The neck of the main body is in a green variegated marble and the urn itself is of black marble or polished slate. There is an applied plaque on the front with a cherub head amongst various Rococo decoration. At the bottom there is a fluted and flared section with a mixture of gilding and bonze, and this stands on a raised Rococo style plinth with cast brass feet at the front and simple ones at the back. The urns are very clean and stylish.
