Antique Pair of Antique French Sèvres Porcelain Ormolu Gilt Bronze Table Urn Lamps

Stunning Pair of French Sevres Soft Paste Porcelain and Ormolu Twin Handle Electric Table Lamps of traditional bulbous form and of outstanding quality, and good size proportions, raised on a square stepped heavy gauge ormolu bases with canted corners and beaded detail.

The twin loose hanging plain lobed handles. The central front reserve depicting a Courting Couple in Eighteenth Century dress in landscape, back views with frolicking cherubs on a rich cobalt blue ground with gilded highlights. .

Second quarter of the Nineteenth Century.

Condition: Good condition for such early pieces with no losses to porcelain, bronze mounts have been professionally re-gold plated, some wear to gilding within porcelain areas.

Height: (entire as shown on image one an impressive) 15.75" (40cm). Width: (at base) 4.75" (12cm). Depth: (at base) 4.75” (12cm).
