Circa 1900, oak framed Orkney chair. With straw back bound with marram grass and top rail woven with marram grass, and it has a removable marram grass seat. It has typical arms with curled section, introduced by David Kirkness, and the uprights are screwed to the side of chair, and the back legs are square, tapering and slightly outswept. It is united by several stretchers, providing stability.
