Circa 1870, good kingwood, satinwood and ormolu mounted bijouterie table. The rectangular shaped top, with its herringbone banding and glazed centre, is double hinged and as it opens has a brass retaining arm to prevent it falling backwards. The inside is lined in a faded red velour. The cabinet is polished on all sides but at the front and sides there are gilded bezels and within this a stylish parquetry panel. The whole piece stands on 4 square tapered legs. The legs are inlaid, cross banded and has a centre panel which tapers and follows the form of the leg, finishing on brass wraparound cups.
