Circa 1920, neat size Louis XV style mahogany and rosewood ladies kneehole desk. The shaped top with ormolu (gilded bronze) moulded edges and crossbanding has a dark blue leather writing surface. The crossbanded frieze drawer with ormolu rococo handles is flanked by banks of 3 graduated drawers with matching handles. The pedestals with canted sides with ormolu mounts. All supported on 8 cabriole legs with brass mouldings running down the base of the desk and brass sabots. With quarter panelled mahogany back (it is freestanding).
