leonard rosoman original watercolour and ink design for the diaghilev exhibit edinburgh festival 1954

Leonard Rosoman 1913 2012 Original watercolour and ink design to the set of the Diaghilev exhibit of the Edinburgh Festival 1954 flamed with signature

Together with a scarpbook by Journalist/author Kyrle Fletcher about the exhibition.

4to. A scrapbook with 20 pages of diary/ manuscript notes at rear in Kyrle Fletcher's hand. Scrapbook has press cuttings about the show and tipped in programmes and invitations. Loosely inserted is more ephemera, signed letters to IFK from Leonard Rosoman, Olive Ripman, & William Beattie. The handwritten diary of over 5000 words has much mention of Richard ('Dicky') Buckle, Lifar, Kochno, Rosoman, Markova, Reymod etc., A fascinating account of meetings, speeches, ceremonies and work, IKF was in charge of the book part of the exhibition. Very good with some light wear

The second scan is of a paperclipping from 1954 exhibit; in which one can see the endresult of the design by Rosoman
