Late 19thC Walnut Framed & Upholstered Lady's Slipper Chair

An exemplary late Victorian walnut framed & upholstered piece from around 1880-1900 and in very good condition for its age, covered in a light taupe fabric with botanical brocade and braided trim, the spoon back button-upholstered and with a carved floral crest atop the frame, the over-sprung seat on 'continental' shell-carved cabriole front legs and shaped rear, all resting on ceramic casters, this lovely lady's slipper chair will charm in any elegant, period-furnished drawing room and will merit all the admiring attention it will surely attract from family & guests alike.

    O/All Width 59cm x Depth 78cm (23.25" x 30.75"), Height at Centre of Back 94cm (37") & Height to Seat 41cm (16")
    Minimum Seat Width at Rear 51cm (20") & Seat Depth 46cm (18")

This is a late Victorian piece, so you may expect some minor wear & tear commensurate with considerable age but, otherwise, it's in very good, clean & sound condition for the age of the chair and it's ready to use in your home.
