Late 19thC Mahogany Chippendale Style Chair with Drop-In Seat

A fine Chippendale style mahogany chair from around 1890 and in very good condition, having an outstanding pierced & interlocking splat with moulded base, shaped back-rest, drop-in seat pad covered in a burgundy coloured velveteen fabric, in a crisply moulded frame, on square front legs with moulded outer corner and chamfered inner, united by a reducing H-stretcher and with swept square rear legs, also with chamfered inner corner and united by a single stretcher, this lovely chair will charm in any elegantly-appointed home, whether period-furnished or more contemporary in style, fully-deserving of the envious attention it will surely attract.

    Max. Width at Seat Frame & Back 52cm x Depth 52.75cm (20.5" x 20.75")
Height at Centre of Back 96cm (37.75") & Height of Seat Frame 43.25cm (17")

This chair dates from the latter part of the 19thC, so you may expect the mature character & patina that only develops with considerable age, plus wear & tear commensurate with normal use but, otherwise, it's in very good, clean & sound condition and is ready to be used in your home.
