Georgian mahogany ladies dressing table or toilet mirror on a three-draw, serpentine fronted base. Oval swing mirror held by shaped supports with outline edge detail and scroll tops. The mirror’s frame having crossbanded veneers and inlaid band – also present on the top of its base. Serpentine fronted base has three mahogany lined drawers with original drop-ring handles and is raised on four ogee bracket feet. Overall maximum height is 48 cm. Base measures 36 cm in width and 17.5 cm depth.
Overall this mirror is in very good condition commensurate with age and remains a very attractive and usable antique. Plate mirror has a few areas where its silver backing is slightly distressed however this does not affect its use and adds to its charm. Veneer on the mirror's frame shows commonly seen signs of age for crossbanding. One minor area of veneer loss to its outside edge border (seen in last image). Base in overall good condition with very minor signs of age and use. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
