Circa 1900, large walnut towel rail. The flared top section with small acorn style finials and open fretwork brackets which hold the rails in position. In the centre there is another turned cross rail and beneath this a rectangular one with scratch carving to give the towel rail stability. As the uprights continue down towards the feet there are 2 large brackets at each side, again with open fretwork at the end. A long rectangular platform with a stylish moulded edge joins the 2 ends, and the whole piece stands on 4 squat and simple raised platform feet.
