Stylish Art Deco large wide-rim Ikora glass bowl designed by Karl Wiedmann for WMF, c1930. Cardinal-hat bowl with extra wide rim. Rim bordered internally with a sea-green coloured band and a deep orange band to the rim. Bowl with amber and bubble inclusions fading towards the rim. Attractive opalescence which intensifies in sunlight - difficult to capture in images. Ground pontil mark to base with etched number 153/3540. The bowl is 35.5 cm in diameter and 6 cm in height.
This glass bowl is in excellent original condition commensurate with age. No chips or cracks. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
