19th century large Ormolu decorative ewer shaped ornament. The Ewer is decorated with grapes and vines to the handle and the main body has cherubs at study. The handle top is mounted with a female figure squeezing grapes into a challis and to the base of the handle is the face of Bacchus. The ewer is in good condition and can be used as an ornament, it is solid and will not hold liquid. This item has been used as a prop in the television detective drama "VERA" which is mostly filmed in Northumberland. The episode it will appear in "Blood Money" will be shown in 2020.
