Circa 1900, Jacobean style small oak side cabinet. The solid oak top has a double ogee moulded fore edge, and is held in place by 4 barley sugar columns with a square block on the top and a small block at the bottom. The shelf beneath is the same shape and form at the top but is finished with a stylish beading which runs around the entire front and sides. Beneath this there is a single panel door with a profusely carved panel in the centre of it which opens to reveal a single shelf, and two side panels also with fielded panels with a carved section in the centre. Beneath the door there is a further beading similar to that above and the whole piece finishes on four turned square feet. Neat size and good condition.
Size 77cm high x 76cm wide x 33cm deep.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Their goal has been to create a one-stop-shop where designers can complete an entire project from antique lighting to antique furniture to accessories. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
