Circa 1810. George III inlaid mahogany secretaire bookcase in original condition. Surmounted by a moulded cornice with satinwood and ebony inlay are two elaborate astragal glazed doors with oval escutcheons and four adjustable shelves, sitting on secretaire with crossbanded and ebony inlay top. The secretaire drawer front with inlaid flame mahogany panels, ebony and ivory handles opening to stunning inlaid interior with cupboard, drawers and pigeon holes (and original key) above three matching drawers over a shaped skirt and original French bracket feet.
