A mid 18th century George II sterling silver hall marked pepper caster. The caster has hall marks for London, the year 1754 and the maker's mark for James Wilks. The caster is baluster in shape with a finial to the top and a moulded raised foot. The hall marks are clear underneath, the marks on the inner rim are worn with the top being lifted off every time to fill the pot over the years. The caster is in good useable condition.
