A 19th century French Empire design marble and ormolu table or mantel clock. The clock has an eight day movement that strikes the hour and half hour on a bell and the pendulum is an early silk suspension. The clock has a dark green with white grain marble case that is highly decorated with a wonderful ormolu urn on top, ormolu mounts and stands on engraved ormolu feet. The clock stands on a rosewood plinth with its original glass dome that sits over the clock, box wood line inlay and is raised on flat bun feet. The clock has been fully serviced and is in excellent working condition. The original glass dome has an old crack in the lower corner which has been glued to stop movement. The rosewood plinth is slightly faded at the back and has a few chips.
