    fine george ii sterling silver sauce boat or cream jug chawner 1758

    On offer here is a fine George II sterling silver sauce boat or sauceboat-shaped cream jug, of typical design, hallmarked for London 1758, makers mark misstruck but almost certainly that of William and Thomas Chawner. This boat, which measures 12 cms x 9 cms, and weighs 112g, comes in very good condition, commensurate with age; no dents, dings, splits or other faults. A lovely and functional piece of Georgian silverware that can still be used and enjoyed to-day.
