This lovely Late 20th Century English Porcelain Cabinet Plate bears all of the hallmarks of Reg Johnson's outstanding talent as a ceramics painter "par excellence". Superbly decorated with a bouquet of Spring flowers, the border heavily gilded, this fine piece offers the perfect introduction to the works of this talented Staffordshire artist, examples of whose work may now be viewed at The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery. Signed and dated on the obverse, Reginald Johnson 1983, and on the reverse in black script, ONE ONLY Spring Flowers by Reginald Johnson 1984.
