This superb Mid- 18th century chest of drawers made of solid oak.
-Attractive caramel tones to the well figured English oak
-Desirable aged patina in the lustre of the wax polished finish
-Wisps of medullary rays glow in the wax polished finish
-Of quality craftsmanship and in good proportion
-Framed with a slanted cornice and finished with a carved blind fretwork moulding
-Richly carved skirting above the bracket feet.
-Raised on carved bracket feet all round.
-Drawer fronts,top and side panels displaying good consistent colour.
-Smooth sliding, oak lined drawers arranged '2 over 3' graduated.
-Front cabinet corners featuring fluted quarter columns with blind fretwork carved base posts.
-Drawers dressed with original fire gilt solid brass fancy swan neck handles and chased keyhole escutcheons
-Retaining some of the original iron locks,but key absent
