    Edwardian Period Mahogany & Cross-Banded Pot Cupboard attributed to Maple & Co.

    A high quality mahogany & inlaid turn of the century piece from c1895-1915, undoubtedly from an exceptional maker, confidently attributed to Maple & Co. and in very good condition, with richly-grained over-sailing top, cross-banded with boxwood and ebonised stringing, with reeded edges to the front and sides and with a moulded up-stand to the rear, over a cabinet fitted with a single shelf and with circular ventilation cut-outs in the rear panel, the door with a ball catch, cross-banded & strung front with an oval central inlay and decorative gilt brass plate & drop-handle, cross-banded & strung uprights, all over ring-moulded and tapering circular legs on brass shoes and brown ceramic casters and with exquisitely carved acanthus leaf embellishment to the tops, this outstanding Edwardian period pot cupboard will create an impression in the most elegantly-furnished of homes, fully-deserving of the admiring attention it will surely attract.

    This is a period piece from around the turn of the 20thC, so you may expect the mature character & patina that only develops over time, plus very minor wear & tear but, otherwise, it's in very good, clean & sound condition and is ready to use in your home.
