Edward Kenneth Center (B.1903) SUPERB LARGE 1934 OIL PORTRAIT PAINTING OF A BOY
This fabulous sizeable original Oil Portrait Painting was executed in 1934 by the highly regarded Portrait artist:
    'Edward Kenneth Center' (B.1903)
The painting is a considerable size, measuring:- Height 34' X Width 29'
It is entirely original throughout and it is mounted within the beautiful large original period foliate scrolled frame which has a rustic charming effect.
The painting depicts this handsome young in magnificent attention to detail, with his eyes & skin tones looking authentic and true to life.
For a painting which was executed during the 1930s, it has a very modern, impressionistic feel so it will look outstanding hung on the wall of any setting, either period or modern.
Signed by the artist and dated 1934 to the upper right corner, the work is 100% original and it has never been removed from its original frame.
There is a tiny canvas patch repair to the rear of the canvas and an old framers label on the bottom of the frame, so all in all a beautiful example throughout.

Fine Art Listing Terminology & Qualifiers
When a listing's heading reads 'by' and is followed by the artist's full name (or the artist's initials, if his full name is unrecorded), the work is in our opinion by the artist.
    'signed by'
When the term 'signed by' is used, in our opinion the work has been signed by the artist.
    "attributed to"
When the expression "attributed to" is used, the work is in our opinion possibly a work by the artist, in whole or in part.
    'circle of'
When the expression 'circle of' is used, the work is in our opinion a work of the period of the artist and showing his influence.
    'follower of'
When the expression 'follower of' is used, the work is in our opinion a work executed in the artist's style but not necessarily by a pupil.
    'manner of'
When the expression 'manner of' is used, the work is in our opinion a work executed in the artist's style but of a later date.
When the term "after" is used, the work is in our opinion a copy or imitation (of any date) of a work by the artist.
    'bears signature'
When the term 'bears signature' is used in our opinion the signature is by a hand other than that of the artist.
Thank you for looking and we hope to see you again soon.
