An attractive Early Victorian walnut ladies chair c1850. Finely moulded show wood over its spoon-shaped back joining shaped and carved arm supports. Carved cabriole legs to the chair’s front with serpentine shaped, moulded front rail. Deep button-back upholstery and generous, deep sprung seat. The chair has been recently re-upholstered in a floral damask fabric which is in excellent condition. Maximum height to top of back is 74 cm. Height of seat is 35 cm and depth of seat is 49 cm. Maximum width across arms is 60 cm.
This chair is in overall very good condition commensurate with age and use. Upholstery is in very good condition. Frame and legs are solid. Historic knocks, marks and wear as is to be expected with genuine antique furniture. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.
