Early 19thC Mahogany Rectangular Snap-Top Table on Tripod Base

A late Georgian or early Victorian mahogany piece in very good condition for its age, with rectangular top, the corners rounded and the edges moulded, on a turned baluster support on tripod base of cabriole-shaped legs and hoof feet, this fine snap- or tilt-top occasional/tea table is ideal where space is at a premium , as it can be stored with the top upright at the side of a room but is of good proportion and provides ample serving space when you have friends or family for tea or coffee, so it's both stylish and practical, will impress in any elegant period-furnished reception room and is sure to attract the admiring attention of your guests.

    Length of Top 76cm x Width 50.5cm (30" x 20")
Height with Top Raised 113cm (44.5") & Height with Top Lowered 71.5cm (28.25")

This piece is from the first half of the 19thC, so you may expect the mature character and patina that only comes with considerable age, including a marked top that speaks of long experience but, otherwise, it's in very good, clean & sound condition, ready to use in your home.
