Early 19th Century pollard oak partners desk of exceptional quality, the top having a green leather writing surface decorated with blind and gold tooling, the front of the desk having an arrangement of nine graduated oak lined drawers with original turned wooden knob handles, the back of the desk has a single oak lined drawer at the top which is made to look like three separate drawers, below this there are two hinged cupboard doors opening to reveal three further oak lined drawers in each pedestal, the desk is supported on a moulded plinth base with castors. Circa 1840.
