Terrific British Victorian 1854 Pattern Grenadier Guards Officer's Sword. Maker marked to Firmin of London - the address indicates that it was made between 1861 and 1879, although the presence of battle honours that end with the Crimea, makes me think that its likely to date from the 1860's. Excellent quality etched blade is very crisp. Flaming grenade motif in hilt cartouche. Complete with original scabbard. A fine piece. Blade length is 33 inches (38 inches overall).
