Circa 1900, large double fronted oak open bookcase. With a solid oak top with break front sections to each end, with a double ogee concave moulding continuing around the front and sides. In the centre section is a carved heraldic shield which follows the angle of the overlap of the moulded top. With 3 adjustable shelves to each side, the front of each shelf are rounded with small reeding to top and bottom. Carved corbels with a flower head are on each end to the front, with a reeded tapering section beneath, 2 fielded panels and a circular carved handle towards the bottom with a flower head on it. Beneath the bottom shelf there is a breakfront section, a simple ogee moulding and it all stands on an enclosed plinth.
