Stylish Austrian deco bird brooch or lapel pin, the bird with small diamonds and buff-top sapphires, sitting on a formalised branch set with a coral. The brooch bears Austrian control marks in use from 1922 for 14ct , and the maker's mark of Artur Tuschak. The business seems to have closed in 1922, so this must be one of his last pieces. The twin prongs have a push-on stopper. The brooch is 1 1/4 inches: 32 mm across
