'VOL DE CHAUVES-SOURIS' ('Flight of Bats') CASED, INTERNALLY DECORATED, ACID ETCHED CAMEO GLASS VASE
Triform shape, internally decorated, overlaid and acid-etched with bats flying above a town skyline, one side with church spire, signed in cameo Daum Nancy with Cross of Lorraine.
Overall shape often described as appearing to be owl form, however true intention is of a roosting bat when inverted.
Condition overall very good, rich and vivid mottled yellow/orange colouration especially the blood red bat swarm rising from the landscape/church spire purple grey base. Minor marks that can expect with normal handling over time, except damage to base where shows cracks/chipping from most likely being dropped at some time (?). Has been put back together however not fully restored. Would say that although evident, doesn't detract from the overall decorative look as shows very nicely. PRICED ACCORDINGLY TAKING THIS INTO ACCOUNT.
